Sometimes, We Grow Healthily if We Don’t Know Too Much

Set your boundaries: get to know when you should walk, run, or pause.

Human tends to compare themselves to others.
At some point in life, we put others too high on a pedestal; we see others better than we see ourselves. Sometimes, we see other people have more in their physical appearance; prettier, slimmer, have body goals, and other beauty standards. Sometimes, we see others have better life condition; happier, richer, mentally stable, and are facing easier problems compared to our battlefield.

Is it normal? Probably.
Say it thousand times, again, “we are social creatures”. We interact with other people, we can observe each other’s life, and automatically our brain just, ta-daa, hijack our way of thinking to compare what we see with what we have.

Is it understandable why it happens—why do we tend to compare ourselves to others? Yes, it is understandable. But then, the question is: Is that good?

Unfortunately, it is not necessarily good.

Whether we are aware or not; the more we see others, the more information we have, and the higher possibility for us to compare ourselves to others. Then, the more we compare ourselves with others, our standard gets higher, higher, higher, and infinite.

If we don’t set our own boundaries, we won’t know when to stop. The more we see, the more thirst we get.

In the end, it is us, who put our own life, in danger.
